INTRODUCTION



E-folios can provide a means for assessment based on evidence of an individual’s growth. With this tool, the learner’s work not only using a variety of artifacts – graphics, pictures, multimedia, stories, journals, or projects But also they can provide a view of their individual minds and capabilities.

This e-folio is a creative way to present what we have learned during this semester as students. This e-folio was created by students of the University of El Salvador taking the course of English Composition I.

Besides that, this e-folio has different items for example: videos, handouts, pictures etc. These items will support each activity made in this e-folio.


Hopping this e-folio, can be useful to acquire some experiences about how to write.


OBJECTIVES OF THE PORTFOLIO

CHALLENGES DURING THE SEMESTER


We know that challenges can be complicated because we do not know if we are able to do a task or if we are  able to succeed in something.The challenges that we had in composition I were:
  1. The mistakes:composition is something that you need to manage and if you do not write well, you are not going to send the right message.
  2. The Rules: as human we tend to avoid rules but we are conscious that composition involves a lot of rules and steps to follow.
We as group think that those were the challenges that we face during the semester.    



VIDEOS

This video is about faulty coordination and it is a tutorial that was created by English Composition I students.

In this video we learned that faulty coordination is when the words or clauses do not match but they are treated like they do or when equal emphasis is given to unequal or unrelated clauses.

In this section, you are going to see some presentations. One that the teacher used to her classes and also a presentation of students in the composition I course.

In this section we have the handouts and extra material that students used in this course and also we can see a practice that was delivered by student teachers.





























SUGGESTIONS FOR NEW STUDENTS

We would suggest many things in order to avoid bad grades in this course.
Firstable we recommend that you should study hard because if you do not do that, you are going to fail the subject.
another recommendation is to practice a lot because composition is based on practice. 
Finally we can add that if you have a doubt, ask to the teacher because she is going to help you to understand the topic.
